Welcome to Surry County
Welcome to the official government website of Surry County, North Carolina, originally chartered in 1771. Surry County is located in northwest North Carolina and is a part of the region known as the Piedmont Triad. The county is unique in that its topography includes portions of the Piedmont, Foothills, and the Blue Ridge Mountains and is home to four pristine waterways including the Yadkin River. Surry County is home to the municipalities of Dobson, Elkin, Mount Airy, and Pilot Mountain. Over 73,000 people reside in Surry which has a diverse economy with concentrations in agriculture, automotive, advanced manufacturing, and metal fabrication. Non-emergency offices are open to the public Monday thru Friday from 8:15 a.m.-5:00 p.m, with the exception of major holidays. The Board of Commissioners typically meet on the first and third Mondays of the month, with some exceptions.

Contractor Information Form
The Facilities Management department has added a Contractor Information Form to the County website in order that contractors and vendors interested in doing business with the County can be included in bidding opportunities that may arise in which their product or services may be beneficial to the County.
