Surry County Residents Asked to Practice 3 Ws

(Dobson, NC) – Surry County Government would like to ask Surry County residents to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by practicing the 3 Ws:

  • Wear a cloth face covering while around others.
  • Wait 6 feet apart. Avoid close contact.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.

Surry County is reminding citizens about the importance of the 3 Ws by sending out flyers to local businesses to be posted on their doors as people enter. The County is also utilizing its social media pages and website to help spread the word.

“We are at a critical impasse in our fight against COVID-19 in Surry County, and it is imperative that citizens practice the 3 Ws to keep themselves and their families safe and healthy,” said Samantha Ange, Surry County Health Director. “These everyday practices help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and should become a part of our daily routines.”

The 3 Ws flyer, shown here, was prepared by the NC Department of Health and Human Services.
