May 18 Board Meeting Is Virtual
(Dobson, NC) – The Monday, May 18 Surry Board of County Commissioners meeting will be held virtually on the County’s website at www.co.surry.nc.us. Citizens can access the meeting on the homepage by clicking on “Board of Commissioners Meetings” and then clicking on “Live Video Broadcast” on the next page. The below screenshots visually show how to watch the meeting.
Surry County recommends that public comments, normally heard during the open forum portion of in-person meetings, be emailed to email@example.com by 5 p.m. on Monday, May 18. The comments will be read aloud during the meeting’s open forum.
The public, a total of 30 people or less separated in three breakout rooms of 10 or less, can also convene in the Surry County Service Center Training Room by 6 p.m. on May 18 to participate in the meeting. From there, individuals may provide public comments during the open forum using a Polycom phone line that will be linked directly to the Board meeting. The Surry County Service Center is located at 915 E. Atkins St.
To reiterate, Surry County is adhering to the Governor’s mass gathering restrictions with these adjustments to the Board meeting.
