April 20 Board Meeting Goes Virtual
(Dobson, NC) – The Monday, April 20 Surry Board of County Commissioners meeting will be held virtually on the County’s website at www.co.surry.nc.us. Citizens will see an alert for the meeting pop up in the bottom of the screen and they can click on the link to access the meeting. The direct link to the meeting, which will be aired through YouTube, is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdjzrTF-ahC71jm383OyfEg/live.
Surry County recommends that public comments, normally heard during the open forum portion of in-person meetings, be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 20. The comments will be read aloud during the meeting’s open forum.
The public, a total of 30 people or less separated in three breakout rooms of 10 or less, can also convene in the Surry County Service Center Training Room by 6 p.m. to participate in the meeting. From there, individuals may provide public comments during the open forum using a Polycom phone line that will be linked directly to the Board meeting.
To reiterate, Surry County is adhering to the Governor’s mass gathering restrictions with these adjustments to the Board meeting.
