Emergency Services

Our intent is to provide an effective, efficient, professionally sound, quality Emergency Services Program to the citizens and visitors of Surry County.  To address the general public with integrity, quality service, good morals, professionalism and with the utmost concern for their health and welfare.  In the presence of death and dying, provide good physiological support, manage the families with dignity and assist them with their religious beliefs.  In times of crisis or disaster, reassure the public the organization will perform at its best within the capabilities of services and resources provided.  During a disaster or major incident, the organization will work with any local, state, federal, private or non-profit agency as a "Team" with the intent of successful management, recovery and mitigation of the crisis; that in good faith and commitment work diligently to perform these responsibilities .
