Special Olympics Surry County

The Surry County Special Olympics Program has been in existence for over 30 years.  Beginning with only 75 athletes, it has grown to over 500 today.  Our local program offers several events such as athletics (local summer games), bowling, golfing, volleyball, softball, cheerleading, basketball, and powerlifting.   Aside from athletics, which occurs annually on a rotating basis at one of the local high schools (East Surry,Mt.Airy, North Surry, Surry Central, and Elkin ), our athletes compete in the various seasonal events across North Carolina throughout the year.

It is our desire to see the continuous growth of Special Olympics Surry County.  With the help and support of folks like you, this desire can become reality.  Please join us in helping to bring joy to the many special athletes who look forward to each and every year of Special Olympics.
