Mission Statement

Surry County Fire Marshal's Office Mission Statement:

The mission of the Surry County Fire Marshal's office is to provide the best public service possible in order to improve public safety and protect the lives and property of every citizen and visitor of Surry County.  We strive to provide quality fire prevention services to include the enforcement of the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code and providing fire and life safety education to as many people as we can reasonably reach.  We seek to assist the seventeen volunteer and three municipal fire departments who provide fire protection, first responders, and rescue services to the citizens and visitors of Surry County.  In addition, we actively work with property owners, law enforcement, and insurance companies to provide fire and arson investigations.
