The Register of Deeds Office offers many services to the general public and to the business and legal community.  The records in this office are recorded and maintained in accordance with the North Carolina General Statutes and open for public inspection.  The following is a list of some of the documents recorded in this office:

We serve as custodians and managers of your vital records.  Register of Deeds are elected to four-year terms by the citizens of the county the Registrar serves. It is the mission of the Surry County Register of Deeds to preserve the integrity of the records and to make them accessible to you.
