You may also view certain items on our local sale site.

 

     Equipment can be previewed from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at 118 Hamby Road, Dobson, N.C. unless otherwise stated on site. The right is reserved to delete or “No. Sale” any item(s).

 

     Terms of payment is cash or certified check.  All equipment is sold as is, all sales final.

NOTICE OF SALE OF LAND

The County of Surry will be accepting sealed bids on the following tracts of land:

Tract 1a.    Tax Parcel #5030-14-23-6064 located at the corner of Hamburg St. and Smith Lane across from Mt. Airy Middle School, Mt. Airy, NC 27030

Tract 2a.    Tax Parcel #5030-14-44-7725 located at the corner of Hamburg St. and Oakwood Drive, Mt. Airy, NC  27030

Tract 3a.    Tax Parcel #5956-00-47-5184 located on Long Lane across from the  intersection with Little Waterfall Drive, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041

Tract 4a.    Tax Parcel #4062-00-81-4783 located at 348 Dan Calloway Road, Stewarts Creek Township, NC 27024

Tract 5a.    Tax Parcel #4051-00-56-9443 located on Mountain View Drive, Lowgap, NC 27024

Sealed bids will be accepted in the Surry County Purchasing Office, 118 Hamby Road, Suite 334, Dobson, NC 27017 until 3:00 PM on 05/30/12. Bids for each tract must be submitted separately. The tax parcel number for each tract should appear on the lower left hand corner of the front of each envelope. The high bid will be presented to the Surry County Board of Commissioners.  If the Commissioners accept the offer, the bidder will be required to place a 5% deposit payable with a cashier’s check or money order.  The bid will then be advertised for upset, whereby other parties can submit a higher bid.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All parcels are sold “AS IS” and bidders are encouraged to perform due diligence in formulating any bid submitted.
