The Surry County Economic Development and Tourism Department is responsible for monitoring and participating in a wide array of economic development programs and initiatives, managing water and sewer projects, and managing the County’s tourism development program. This department maintains relationships with the county’s four municipalities in recruiting new industry and business as well as providing a support network for existing industry and business. The Assistant County Manager for Economic Development and Tourism serves as a liaison between business, industry, local, regional, State, and federal regulatory agencies and citizens.
